Still Alive; This Time With Scouting

So I put a thing on Twitter about my new scouting set up, and then quickly realised while trying to explain it to Samo that the theory and execution were a bit too in depth to convey in the character limit. So here we are.

We’ve done the overview. We’ve had a look at the playing staff. We’re almost there for the introductions, but we have one more to do: The backroom team.

So, I’ve tinkered with a few teams in the beta (lookin’ at you, domestic quadruple winning Monaco Invincibles), but with that coming to an end and the full release just around the corner I think it’s time to pick a team to try to stick with all year (or until I get acrimoniously sacked). So who did I choose?

First of all, contrary to the About section of this blog, my name is not actually Reg Ista. As you’re going to become uncomfortably familiar with if you keep reading this descent into FM-related insanity, I have a fondness for awful puns. Apologies in advance, and consider yourself forewarned.

This is, primarily, going to be a blog that explores the way I play the various Football Manager releases from Sports Interactive. My tactics, my preferred footballing philosophies. What I look for in players. What I settle for when the player I want refuses to sign for me because he wants to play in a better division.

Mostly it’ll be about the fun you, myself and everyone else can have with this game. Hopefully there’ll be fun, anyway.
